Trickfish J-Core preamp brings the renowned Mike Pope Flexcore tone into your Jazz Bass, now in a convenient drop-in plate design with no modifications or soldering required. This specific model features a 4-band EQ, offering precise control over bass, treble, and both low and high mids.

The control shafts are 6 mm in diameter, and the set does not include control knobs – giving you the freedom to choose your own style. Optional matte black knobs from Kilo International (USA) are available separately, providing premium quality and finish.

Key features of J-Core 4-band EQ preamp:

• Drop-in installation – no soldering, no modifications

• 4-band EQ:

  • Bass: 46 Hz or 90 Hz

  • Treble: 6 kHz or 10 kHz

  • Low Mid: 330 Hz or 473 Hz

  • High Mid: 600 Hz or 900 Hz

• Output gain: 0, +3, +6, or +8 dB

• Passive tone control with .022 Cap capacitor

• Power: 9V battery (kit includes battery clip and prewired output jack)
